Our Why

Working together at one of the busiest stations in our city, we were constantly donning and doffing our masks at working fires and trainings. 

One of us was burnt from heat entering under his Nomex because his mask strap was caught under it, creating an opening. We began discussing the many ways those little tabs are a pain to find and secure in adverse conditions, and decided there must be a better way.

The 3B Straps were created to provide a faster and more secure mask donning process in adverse environments.

 

Integrating 3B Straps

Step 1

Feed some strap through buckle on mask, this is your working end

Step 2

Place washer on top of strap you just pulled and feed through creating a loop

Step 3

Attach ring through the loop

Step 4

Remove excess strap back towards mask side and Feed tab in-line through ring

Repeat and Finished

Repeat for remaining straps connecting on Left and Right Sides, Pull out excess slack

Trouble shooting

-Ensure your straps are in good working condition

-Practice with straps before live use to ensure proper fit

-Best results when pulled in an upward and then back and down motion
